Lonestar Stampede
Tyler, Texas

Lonestar Stampede is a Western Rodeo Drill Team that rides out of Tyler, Texas.  We are a coed team, average 14 members and have been riding together since 1992.
We will all carry a Flag this year.  Gail Montrose will Normally have our Texas flag
riding point, I suppose you should call it setting up moves with her
beautiful mare "Fancy".
The Lonestar Stampede is open to new members.  Come ride 4 times you and your horse will be voted on separately, Horses must not be gaited for our drill and must be at least 14 hands on a good day!  We try and stay with horses that move in a like manner so we keep our precision .. We are almost exclusively Quarter Horse Type , remember, we are in Texas but  exceptions are made if that horse travels
well with the rest .
As of 1999 we are both a performance and competition team but our main goal is quality rodeo performances and we do a lot of them.  Additionally we ride for benefits, store openings and have been invited to appear at weddings on horseback.
We have lined up to welcome international guests for the city of Tyler.
We also went to Competition for the first time and we came out 1999  National
Association of Riding Clubs & Sheriff's Posses Champs !

We are a rowdy bunch of  riders that drill for the pure joy of it and what we can do for others . We all hold down full time jobs and some run their own successful businesses.  We always strive for the very best precision and have
the most fun doing it possible !
