LAKE METROPARKS VOLUNTEER MOUNTED POSSE
Lake County, Ohio
Lake Metroparks Volunteer
Mounted Posse has been in existence since 1989 in
Lake County, east of
Cleveland, Ohio. We presently have 51 members.
Our duties include park
patrols, public relations, educational programs,
search and rescue, crowd
control/parking, parades, and we have
a Drill Team, Musical
Ride Team, and a Color Guard.
Our Drill Team
is more cavalry style-called commands and we occasionally use music.
Our Musical Ride
performs an intricate routine set to music.
About half of the
unit uses their own horses, trucks and trailers.
Lake Metroparks Ranger
Department owns 6 horses for those who don't have their own.
