11/20/03 NEWS RELEASE:  

The Western States Equestrian Drill Team Association Championship Series

The Western States Equestrian Drill Team Association proudly 
announces the creation of the WSEDTA Championship Series.  These 
drill team competitions will consist of a number of WSEDTA 
sanctioned events across the Western United States and culminate in 
an end of year championship show.  Scores will be taken from these 
various competitions and combined at the WSEDTA Championship Show in 
order to crown an overall champion for each division.  The champions 
from each division will be provided with a WSEDTA Division Champion 
Flag to carry throughout the ensuing year.

The following WSEDTA Class A sanctioned drill team competitions will 
have scores counted towards the overall highpoint.  Individual shows 
will be added as they become sanctioned by WSEDTA.

     -  Reno Rodeo Western States Drill Team Competition,
        June 18th, Reno, Nevada
     -  WSEDTA Drill Team Competition at the Equidome, 
        July 31st, Los Angeles, CA
     -  WSEDTA Championship Show, September 18th, Livermore, CA

For 2004, the two highest scores from WSEDTA Class A sanctioned 
shows, one of which must be the Championship Show, will be counted 
towards the highpoint score.  Membership is not required to 
participate in WSEDTA sanctioned shows but WSEDTA team membership is 
required to be crowned the 2004 Overall Division Champions.
